HORNE Announces Six New Partners for 2022

Jan. 18, 2022 – HORNE, the 35th largest accounting and professional services firm in the U.S., announced six new partners for this year.

The new partners are: Christy Street (Hattiesburg), Clint King (Ridgeland), Lacy Lyons (Austin), Lauren Hanat (Gulfport), Melissa Poole (Nashville) and Mary Kathryn Allen (Ridgeland). These partners serve clients in our Government Services, Healthcare, Financial Institutions, Public and Middle Market and Franchise practices.

In addition, Jonathan Krebs has transitioned into the role of managing partner for the Government Services practice. This practice serves clients throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands as government agencies look to recover from both natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are so excited to admit Christy, Clint, Lauren, Melissa, Lacy and Mary Kathryn into the partnership,” Managing Partner Neil Forbes said. “They are true servant leaders that demonstrate their care for our clients, our team members and the communities we serve.”

Street joined HORNE in 2003 and has 15 years of experience almost exclusively in healthcare. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a dual emphasis in accounting and finance.

King joined the firm in 2007 and has worked with hospitals and other healthcare facilities on healthcare reimbursement and consulting projects. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and Master of Professional Accountancy from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Lyons joined HORNE in 2010 and has worked closely with participating state agencies that house disaster recovery data for interagency collaboration and data sharing to speed up recovery. She graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is a certified fraud examiner.

Hanat joined HORNE in 2019 and provides business advisory and accounting services to franchise clients. She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and classics and her master’s in accounting and information analysis from Lehigh University. She is a CPA in New York, Pennsylvania and Mississippi, a certified internal auditor, a certified anti-money laundering specialist and a certified fraud examiner.

Poole joined HORNE in 2014 and specializes in serving clients in the financial institutions industry. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Professional Accountancy from the University of Southern Mississippi. She also graduated from the Mississippi School of Banking.

Allen joined HORNE in 2011 and specializes in tax compliance and business consulting for publicly and privately held clients, as well as state and local tax compliance. She earned a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Master of Taxation from the University of Mississippi. She is a CPA in Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee.

Krebs joined HORNE in 2008 and serves on the Board of Directors. He focuses on helping governments design and implement federally funded programs to recover from some of the country’s most devastating natural disasters. He earned a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is a chartered financial analyst, certified government financial manager and a certified fraud examiner.
